Alicia Glasgow Gentles, Executive Director of the Foundation commented that “reading to children is one of the most important things you can do to promote learning and creativity and help provide children with a foundation for academic excellence”.  She said participation in this activity to commemorate Read Across Jamaica Day was in keeping with the Foundation’s mission and mandate to enhance the lives of under-served youth through the delivery of educational and recreational programmes.
Endowed by ICD Group Holdings Limited, FLOW Jamaica and the Caribbean Cement Company, The MultiCare Foundation is committed to facilitating opportunities for Jamaica’s disadvantaged young people to channel their energies and efforts towards their personal development and that of the communities in which they live.
