In her capacity, she meticulously oversees the organisation’s administrative operations, including procurement, ensuring seamless processes that uphold efficiency and compliance. Moreover, she provides invaluable support to the accounting team, facilitating accurate financial reporting and accountability.
Beyond her core responsibilities, Mrs Astwood is crucial in enhancing the visibility of MYF’s projects, working closely with the Executive Director to amplify the impact of the organisation’s initiatives. Her strategic insights and attention to detail contribute significantly to MYF’s mission of empowering Jamaica’s youth.
Director of Projects & Strategic Management
Mrs Mitzian Turner took on the pivotal Director of Projects and Strategic Management role at the MultiCare Youth Foundation (MYF) on March 1, 2023. With a distinguished national and regional development leadership career, Mrs Turner is a visionary and results-driven professional driving MYF’s critical objectives.
Bringing over 20 years of experience in leadership roles across private and public sectors, along with her tenure as a former Director of the Caribbean Micro-Finance Alliance, Mitzian possesses a robust skill set and extensive expertise.
She is a certified Project Management Professional with a Master’s in Human Resource Development and Post Graduate studies in Education & Training. Her expertise lies in strategic planning, financial management, and organisational development, ensuring optimal project execution and performance.
With a keen understanding of community needs, Mrs Turner designs and implements targeted training programs tailored to maximise impact. Her proficiency in enterprise risk management enables her to navigate complexities and seize opportunities effectively.
Under her leadership, MYF has embraced innovation and adaptability, striving for a more empowered and resilient youth community. Her commitment to excellence drives MYF’s forward-thinking approach, ensuring impactful and sustainable solutions to address the evolving needs of Jamaican youth. Mrs Turner fosters collaboration and transparent communication within MYF and with external stakeholders, fostering a culture of trust and understanding.
Executive Director
Mrs Alicia Glasgow Gentles, the dedicated Executive Director of MYF, leads with passion and dynamism, spearheading the organisation’s mission to empower youth in targeted inner-city communities across Jamaica. With decades of experience in youth development and Integrated Marketing Communication, she has played pivotal roles in supporting various charitable organisations and private sector companies in their endeavours to uplift Jamaica’s communities at both local and national levels.
As a Director of BizTactics Limited since 2013 and a former Chairperson of the New Employment Opportunities for Youth in Jamaica Project Steering Committee (2016-2019), Mrs Glasgow Gentles has demonstrated her commitment to driving impactful initiatives for societal progress. Her contributions extend to serving as a member of the Education Committee at the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (2011-2012), highlighting her dedication to fostering educational advancement.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Mrs Glasgow Gentles is a cherished member of the National Dance Theatre Company of Jamaica (NDTC), where she has generously shared her talents for over 25 years, embodying a spirit of community engagement and cultural enrichment.
Over the past decade, Mrs Glasgow Gentles has served as the steadfast leader of The MultiCare Youth Foundation, steering the organisation towards transformative youth development, community empowerment, and national advancement. Known for her unwavering motivation, resourcefulness, and results-driven approach, she is a beacon of inspiration in youth empowerment and social progress.
Company Secretary
Mrs Cristina Matalon is the Company Secretary for the ICD Group and its subsidiaries, including the MYF. She oversees corporate governance and legal compliance. Her role extends to serving as Company Secretary for entities such as AMG Packaging and Paper Company Limited, a publicly listed company on the Junior Market of the Jamaican Stock Exchange. With a wealth of experience in Company Law, Mrs Matalon adeptly manages mergers, acquisitions, divestments, liquidations, and company re-organizations.
Driven by a profound belief in the entrepreneurial spirit of Jamaicans, she generously volunteers her expertise as a Corporate Governance advisor to numerous startups. Her dedication to fostering a robust business environment underscores her commitment to empowering emerging ventures and contributing to Jamaica’s economic growth.
Youth Director
Miss Monique Williams, the inaugural Youth Director of The MultiCare Youth Foundation, epitomises the spirit of youth empowerment and success. As a dynamic entrepreneur and proud graduate of the YUTE program, she brings a wealth of firsthand experience and passion for community development to her role. With her visionary leadership and dedication to serving Jamaica’s youth, Miss Williams drives transformative change and inspires countless young individuals to realise their full potential.

Dr. Renee Rattray is a thought leader, education activist, and dynamic public speaker. With a career dedicated to dismantling systems of inequity, she champions the creation of safe, nurturing, and inclusive spaces for all individuals. As the CEO of Teach Good LeadGood, Dr. Rattray spearheads a platform empowering educators to cultivate growth and authenticity.
She is the co-convenor of Science Genius Jamaica and DancehallEd, leveraging innovative educational approaches. Currently, as a Lead Education Consultant at XQ Institute in Washington DC, she drives impactful initiatives to transform education paradigms.
Dr. Rattray’s expertise extends to education quality assurance as a licensed School Inspector with the National Education Inspectorate. Her leadership was instrumental in managing educational projects at the national level during her tenure as Project Manager of the IDB/Citizens Security and Justice Programme under the PALS Jamaica Programme.
Recognised for her outstanding contributions, Dr. Rattray was appointed Jamaica’s representative to the International Women’s Forum Fellowship 2021-2022. She actively participates in various public and private sector boards, including Jamaica College, The American International School of Kingston, Creative Language-Based Learning, and Khalé Journey, further enriching her commitment to fostering positive change and educational excellence.

Mrs Patricia Sutherland serves as the Chief Operating Officer of the JMMB Group and holds the position of Chairman at the JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation. With over two decades of extensive experience in management, operations, and strategic planning across financial services and manufacturing sectors, Mrs Sutherland brings a wealth of expertise to her role.
During her tenure, Mrs Sutherland has been instrumental in overseeing the efficient execution of various facets of JMMB’s operations, including spearheading critical functions such as Information Technology, Securities and Settlement, and Operations Management departments. Her leadership ensures the seamless functioning of the middle and back-office operations, enabling the JMMB Group to remain a leading player in the financial services industry. With her support, the JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation is one of MYF’s longstanding donors.

Mrs Sandra Glasgow is a distinguished figure in business consultancy and corporate governance. As the Founder and Managing Director of BizTactics Limited, her expertise lies in fostering the growth of aspiring firms and championing best-in-class corporate governance standards.
In addition to her role at BizTactics Limited, Mrs Glasgow is the Managing Director of ReVUp Caribbean. She holds the distinction of being the first female Chairman of CrimeStop Jamaica. Her leadership extends internationally as Vice President of the Latin American and Caribbean Trade Association for Business Angels.
Furthermore, Mrs Glasgow’s contributions to the business community are evident in her roles as Director of National Commercial Bank Jamaica, Chair of the Audit Committee at Medical Disposables and Supplies Limited, and Director of DRT Communications.
Mrs Glasgow’s commitment to ethical business practices is underscored by her certification as a Trainer of Trainers in Business Ethics by the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC) and the US Department of Commerce. Mr Vikram Dhiman is ICD Group Holdings Limited’s Chief Operating Officer, overseeing strategic operations across diverse sectors. He holds the esteemed position of Honorary Treasurer at the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica.
Mr Dhiman’s professional journey includes serving as a strategy consultant to several Fortune 500 companies, facilitating business setups, mergers, acquisitions, and divestments. He is renowned for his adeptness in developing and implementing strategic initiatives, leading change programs, and advising organisations on sustainable growth strategies.

Rev. Dr. Rohan Ambersley is the Chief Executive Officer of Massy Gas Products (Jamaica) Limited, a prominent supplier of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) under the Gas Pro brand. With over 14 years of progressive experience in sales, marketing, business development, and general management, Mr Ambersley has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation throughout his career.
Mr Ambersley holds a B. Sc. with First Class Honors from the University of the West Indies and an MBA from the University of Leicester (UK). Currently pursuing a Doctor of Transformational Leadership degree from Bakke Graduate University (Dallas, Texas), he continues to deepen his knowledge and expertise in leadership and organisational development.
In addition to his professional endeavours, Mr Ambersley serves as an ordained minister within the New Testament Church of God, where he actively contributes to the Youth and Discipleship Board. His dedication to youth empowerment extends beyond the corporate realm, reflecting his passion for nurturing the potential of young people and fostering positive change within communities.

CD, Chairman
Mr Joseph Mayer Matalon, CD, Chairman of The MultiCare Youth Foundation and ICD Group Holdings Limited, brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his leadership roles. He is a director of various subsidiaries and associated companies within the ICD Group, including British Caribbean Insurance Company Limited, West Indies Home Contractors, WIHCON Properties Limited, Advantage Communications, RevUp Caribbean Limited, and First Angels Jamaica Limited.
Additionally, Mr Matalon chairs the RJR/Gleaner Communications Group, the Caribbean’s most prominent media house, overseeing traditional and digital media operations. His philanthropic endeavours extend to serving as Honorary Chairman of the St. Patrick’s Foundation, supporting charitable activities in inner-city communities, and as Chairman of the US-based International Youth Foundation.
Mr Matalon’s distinguished career includes serving as Chairman of the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) from 2007 to 2016 and Chairman of the Office of Utilities Regulation. He has been appointed to numerous national committees advising the Jamaican government on tax policy reform and economic matters.
Notably, Mr Matalon’s tenure as President of The Private Sector Organisation of Jamai to 2012 was marked by significant initiatives, including establishing Youth Upliftment Through Employment (YUTE). Under his leadership, YUTE provided critical interventions for at-risk youth, including skills remediation, job placement, and entrepreneurial opportunities for approximately 1600 young individuals.
In 2014, YUTE merged with The MultiCare Foundation under the auspices of the ICD Group. In 2017, Mr Matalon continued championing the joint entity, The MultiCare Youth Foundation. His remarkable contributions to the public and private sectors and commitment to community service were recognised with the Order of Distinction Commander Class in 2010 and induction into the PSOJ’s Private Sector Hall of Fame in October 2018.
