Alicia Glasgow Gentles, Executive Director of the Foundation commented that “reading to children is one of the most important things you can do to promote learning and creativity and help provide children with a foundation for academic excellence”. She said participation in this activity to commemorate Read Across Jamaica Day was in keeping with the Foundation’s mission and mandate to enhance the lives of under-served youth through the delivery of educational and recreational programmes.
