MYF Furthers Reach With A Grant From The Local Partner Development Project

The MultiCare Youth Foundation (MYF) is the newest beneficiary of a Capacity Development Grant under the Pathways to Sustainability Program, which is a part of the Local Partner Development (LPD) project.

The LPD project is a new initiative by Family Health International (FHI) 360 that seeks to strengthen various nongovernmental organisations, social enterprises, community-based organisations, civil society organisations and government entities in Jamaica. With the US$30,000 grant, MYF looks forward boosting its operations, increasing its social impact and providing more support to vulnerable and volatile Jamaican communities.

FHI 360 partners with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to fund this project, which is expected to span five years and will support MYF and other organisations to become more effective and sustainable actors in communities to enhance citizen security and social togetherness.

The Jamaica Association for the Deaf (JAD), Boys Town and Joy Town Community Development Foundation, are also recipients this year, and like them, MYF is eager to make a positive impact on the lives of youth across the nation.
