The MultiCare Foundation’s Performing Arts Concert 2016

The MultiCare Foundation schools’ performing arts concert is held annually in commemoration of Universal Childrens’ Day and showcases the talents and creativity of students in dance, music and drama. Participants are drawn from schools which participate in MCF’s Performing Arts programme which seeks to recognize the potential in each child and to help them identify their talents and develop their self-confidence and self-esteem. Ten schools and approximately 200 young people aged 6-18 years are expected to participate.

Established in 1993, The MultiCare Foundation (MCF) is a private, voluntary, non-profit organisation committed to youth and community development. Endowed by the ICD Group Holdings Limited, Cable & Wireless Jamaica Limited (now FLOW) and Caribbean Cement Company Limited, the Foundation was initiated out of growing concern for the alienation and marginalisation of Jamaica’s youngest citizens. MCF was established with six (6) schools and a commitment to youth and community development, particularly among students and young people from inner city areas of Kingston. The Foundation now serves 31 primary and secondary schools in the Kingston Metropolitan Area. Multicare’s mission is “To engage children and youths in activities leading to their holistic development through exposure to Sports, The Arts and Life skills training.” The Foundation provides enrichment programmes in Sports and the Visual and Performing Arts.

We would love your support at our annual concert tomorrow, November 17, 2016 at 12:30 pm at the Phillip Sherlock Center (UWI, Mona).
